![]() It's about time that I gave an update on what I'm up to lately. I've been working part-time for 1 year from Homegrown Health, a beautiful organic cafe in Toowoomba. I've got a lovely little clinic space in the back of the cafe where I'm available for massage and kinesiology/reiki appointments. On Thursdays, I work from a space in one of the local retirement villages in Toowoomba, Bridge Street Village Resort, where I see some elderly clients and also help them with their choir. I play the keyboard for the little Village choir and every month we have a mini concert. It's really fun and keeps me in a volunteer capacity in town. Also, I'm in the process of setting up another little satellite clinic in Forest Hill (near Gatton) which I hope to go to every fortnight on a Monday. This has come about by request from some Plainlands locals who have asked could I come there instead of them all driving up the Range. Hopefully, this new venture can sustain itself. I'll have a room in the "Meaning to Stop Shop" on the highway at Forest Hill. Looking forward to meeting the locals in that area. My kids are growing up ridiculously fast and I'm trying to keep up with their needs. They are beautiful individuals, all different but all playing soccer this year. My husband is trying to recuperate from a broken ankle which he keeps injuring. He's broken the same bone twice since last August. It's a bit hard to climb into ceilings and up ladders with a moon boot on your leg so work for him has been frustrating. I'm studying aromatherapy also, a fascinating subject which I'll incorporate into my clinic practice. The use of essential oils in my space will lend it's own magic and I'm looking forward to incorporating their essence into Gentle Balance. I'm still very much involved in my own healing and growth. I've found some beautiful healers around my area who keep me on the straight and narrow. We're all dealing with our lives, the challenges, hiccups, joys and moments. Living more in the moment and less in my "overthinking" head is very much a daily practice that I try to adopt. Not sure I'm so good with that but I'm learning to worry less and trust more!! My motto is very much "persistance paves the way" at present, Thankyou Toni for keeping it real. xx
